Hemant Magoo, MD, FASN, FASH

Dr. Magoo earned his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, India in 1999. He completed both his medical residency in internal Medicine and a fellowship in Nephrology at New York Medical College/ Metropolitan Hospital Center Program in New York, NY.

Dr. Magoo is very active in his medical field and maintains membership in numerous professional organizations including the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of HTN, Renal Physician Association, American College of Physicians.

He was formally recognized as an ASH Fellow (FASH) during the 2015 ASH Annual Membership Meeting. This is a distinction conferred on individuals who have distinguished themselves through excellence in their professional, scientific and clinical achievements, scholarship, and significant contributions to the Society and to the field of hypertension and cardiovascular health.

He received FASN distinction (Fellow of American society of Nephrology) in 2018. The FASN designation celebrates and recognizes members who have achieved a distinct level of excellence in clinical or investigative nephrology or pathology, ongoing postgraduate education and in providing a continuing service to the Society and/or community. FASN signals to colleagues and patients the commitment to the highest standards of the profession.

Dr. Magoo is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Medical Specialties in Nephrology. He achieved designation as a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension (ASH) in 2010. He is licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Deetu Simh,

Dr. Simh graduated with a B.Sc. from Arizona State University in 2001, and then earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies in 2006. He completed his medical residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ and his nephrology fellowship at University of New Mexico Albuquerque.

Dr. Simh is very active in his medical field and maintains membership in numerous professional organization including the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, the Renal Physician Association and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Simh is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Medical Specialties in Nephrology. He is licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Ohio.

Ashish Verma,
MD, FASN, FACP

Dr. Verma received his medical degree in June of 1993 from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi. He went on to complete his training and is a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) of United Kingdom in 2005 and received a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2007. Dr. Verma completed his fellowship in Nephrology at the University Of Massachusetts Medical School in 2012.

Dr. Verma is very active in his medical field and maintains membership in numerous professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, National Kidney Foundation, American Society of Hypertension, Massachusetts Medical Society, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Renal Physician Associates, Worcester District Medical Society, Indian Medical Association, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and Delhi Medical Association.

Dr. Verma is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Medical Specialties in Nephrology. He is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. In 2008, he received the Jeff Crosby Award for Patient Advocacy and has received the AMA Physician Recognition Award from 2009-2012.

Dr. Phachu graduated with a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia in 2012, and then earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2017. He subsequently completed both his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship training at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Phachu is active in his medical field and maintains membership in numerous professional organization including the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, the Renal Physician Association and the American College of Physicians.
